Where are you located?
Heart of the Rockies Therapy is located near the intersection of I-25 and Colorado Boulevard. Here is the address:
1776 South Jackson StreetSuite 901-4Denver, CO 80210
What is your rate… and what forms of payment do you accept?
Individual 50-minute sessions are $155
You can pay by cash, check, and all forms of credit card, including a Health Savings Account (HSA) debit card.
Do you accept insurance?
I am considered an “out-of-network” provider and do not directly accept insurance.
This is for a variety of reasons, such as protecting your privacy and confidentiality, freedom from declaring a mental health diagnosis, and ease of scheduling.
However, many clients receive reimbursement from their insurance providers depending on their plan. I can provide you with a “super bill” (pre-completed forms for you to send to your insurance company) for reimbursement.
Please make sure you call your insurance company before starting services and ask them if they provide reimbursement for mental health services.
Do you offer sliding-scale fees or reduced rates?
Yes, I offer a small amount of reduced-rate sessions. I am happy to discuss this with you during our initial consultation.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your session time is reserved for you. If you are unable to make your session, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. You’ll be charged a full fee for late-cancellation or no-shows.
The only time we waive this fee is in the event of a serious or contagious illness or inclement weather.
How do I set up an initial session?
I provide a free 20-minute phone consultation. If we feel that we’re a good fit, we can set up our first session.
What would I go to therapy?
Therapy or counseling is an empowering process that allows you to accomplish emotional, relational, spiritual, or career-related goals.
A great therapist will understand your current needs and struggles, identify specific patterns that keep you stuck, and teach you long-term tools for success and healing.
Who will know what we talk about?
One of the most important parts of therapy is confidentiality. No one will know what we discuss (except for a few safety exceptions).
Do I have to lie on the couch?
You don’t HAVE to lie on the couch, but you wouldn’t be the first person if you do.
Feel free to take off your shoes, grab a cup of coffee, and relax.
This is your time, and I want you to be as comfortable as possible.
